County home-insurance non-renewal rates from major carriers (2018–2023), mapped against home prices and new-home construction. Higher non-renewal rates concentrate in counties at elevated risk of wildfires, hurricanes and other coastal hazards.

Non-renewal rates cover 23 insurers (~65% of the market), 2018–2023; “non-renewal” means a major carrier declined to renew. Home prices are the FHFA all-transactions county index; permits are Census Building Permits Survey annual units. Non-renewal shading is limited to counties with at least 100 insured policy records, and permit shading to counties averaging at least 50 permitted units per year in 2018–2023.
